About Our Crew
Venturing Crew 182 was formed in October 2024. As a youth-led crew, our Venturers — young men and women ages 14 to 21 — plan and run the crew's program, from choosing adventures to leading trips, with support and guidance from our adult advisors. Electing their own officers and making real decisions is how Venturers build leadership skills and learn to own the results. What each member gets out of Venturing depends on the energy and ideas they bring and on the leaders they elect.
Joining Crew 182
Venturing is open to young men and women who are:
- 14 through 20 years old, or
- 13 years old and have completed the eighth grade.
Venturers live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law and take an active part in planning and leading the crew's activities. New members can join at any time — register online through Scouting America with the Join button. Parents and other adults are welcome too: we can always use adult advisors and committee members, and every adult volunteer completes Scouting America's Safeguarding Youth training.
Meetings and Adventures
Crew 182 meets the last Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Hughes Community Center, 1000 E Parkway Dr in Russellville. See the Contact page for a map and directions.
The crew's officers plan the year's program with the members, and every Venturer has a voice in where the crew goes next — from weekend trips and service projects to high adventure at Scouting America's national bases. Meetings, trips and events are on our calendar, which you can add to your phone.
