About Scouting America
A girl-led adventure
Troop 182G is a girl-led Scouting America troop for girls ages 11 through 17 — or younger, once they’ve finished 5th grade or earned the Arrow of Light. In a girl-led troop, the Scouts run the troop: they elect their own leaders, plan meetings and campouts, and lead their patrols, while trained adult leaders coach them and keep everyone safe.
Scouts camp, hike, cook, learn first aid and outdoor skills, serve their community and earn merit badges in more than 140 subjects. Step by step they advance through the ranks toward Scouting’s highest honor, Eagle Scout, building confidence, character and leadership along the way.
Troop 182G meets Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm during the school year at the Hughes Community Center in Russellville, and camps once a month during the school year. Visitors are always welcome — come see a meeting and meet the Scouts.
